Last Week In Phys. Ed. (May 2nd-6th)

A little bit of soccer, some time outdoors and some Star Wars themed activities rounded out this past week in Phys. Ed.  May and June will be a mixed bag of activities as we make our way towards the end of the school year.  Students had the opportunity to work on some soccer related skills this past week and played a few versions of soccer as a large group.  Some groups had the opportunity to play outdoors, which was a really nice treat for early in May.  We also marked “May the 4th” by having groups participate in a Jedi training academy.  Students worked on their balance, concentration, agility and a few other Jedi-like skills.

Next week we will continue in the same direction.  On Thursday our grade 5 volleyball club participants will be attending a divisional volleyball tournament at College Sturgeon Heights Collegiate.  Best of luck to you all.  Our fingers are crossed that the nice weather continues to roll along as we make our way into mid May.
