Last Week In Phys. Ed. (Sept. 19th-23rd)

Last week in was a week of firsts at ÉRB.  We had our first Cross-Country race of the year this past Thursday.  Everyone ran really well and put in a great effort!  We also had some students get their first crack at trying to ride a unicycle…it’s definitely much harder than it looks!  We also had our first class submit all of their parental consent forms for our Circus Study…way to go room 13!

This week we focused on team building and cooperative games during PE classes.  Students will continue to work on these topics next week, as team work is such a huge component of a successful PE program.  Next week we will be hosting our Terry Fox run on Thursday (Sept. 29th).  The run/walk will take place at about 3:20pm in our school yard.  Come out and show your support for Terry!  Don’t forget to bring a toonie.

Sorry for the lack of pictures.  Once we’ve got all of our media release forms organized we will get some posts up soon.  Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @BrowningPhysEd.  Our school hashtag is #gobrowning

Last Week In Phys. Ed. (Sept 12-16)

It’s hard to believe that we are always two weeks into the school year. (I guess the first week doesn’t really count!)  We are getting right into things in PE classes.  We’ve gone over routines, expectations and had the chance to pull out some of the new equipment.

Our cross country running team is going full speed ahead.  We are practicing twice a week and have our first race next Thursday.  Students are still welcome to join the team, please visit the Cross County team page to get the information.  Our next practice will be Tuesday.

We are also gearing up for our Circus Infused PE study.  Students and parents have been filling out paperwork to get the legal side of things all in order.  We will be doing our first data collection in October.  Can’t wait to see the findings!  In the meantime we are getting all of our circus equipment ready to roll.  Unicycles are much harder to ride then I first thought!
