A week of randomness this past week in phys. ed. M. Koester and I were trying to finish up some evaluations of all 429 students we teach. During evaluations students had to show off some of their basic movement skills in isolation. The skills we looked at this term were rolling, throwing (both over and underhand), catching and kicking. Needless to say, it took us quite a while to see everyone.
Students that weren’t working on their evaluations were busy working on circus skills, basketball skills as well as some other fitness activities. Next week we will start looking at striking below the waist. Some of the activities we have planned revolve around the sports of hockey and ringette. Can’t wait to try out our new indoor ringette set we purchased this year!
