Basic Movement Skills

These 14 movements are the stepping stones for the more complex sport-related movements used in organized sports.  As an elementary phys. ed. teacher it is my hope that all students leaving École Robert Browning in grade 5 have a proficient understanding of these movement skills. Running, Jumping, Skipping, Hopping, Galloping, Striking, Kicking, Bouncing, Catching, Rolling, Underhand Throwing, Overhand Throwing, Static and Dynamic Balance make up the basic movement skills.
