This year the meet will be run similarly to previous years, and is open to all students in grade four and five. The event will be taking place at the John Taylor Collegiate athletics field on May 26th from 10:00am – 2:30pm.
Students will be transported to and from the meet by bus. All participants will be returned to the school following the meet and will be dismissed as per the regular school day procedures at 4:00pm.
Students are encouraged to dress for the weather, as they will be outside for the majority of the day. Some supplies that should be considered when packing for the day are:
- Bug Spray Sunscreen
- Hat Extra Socks
- Umbrella Running Shoes
It is recommended that students dress in layers, including a rain jacket /windbreaker, since the weather in May can be very unpredictable. Students MUST also bring their own bag lunch. There is NO canteen on site. Valuable items (ipods, DS, etc…) should be left at home, and are the responsibility of the students that bring them. Teachers will not be responsible for lost/stolen items.
