Next week students in grade five will be heading home with information regarding the upcoming district #3 basketball season. The team is open to all students in grade five, regardless of experience. Team Handball Season Coming To A Close
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all those students that came out to play on the École Robert Browning Team Handball teams. Although our season was short, you all showed vast improvements in your skills and knowledge of the game. You were all great representatives of our school and all exhibited what it means to be a good sport.
To close out the season the schools of district three held a friendship tournament. All students from all three schools were mixed up into teams and had a chance to play with members from different schools on the same team. As well, the students had a chance to play against members from their own school.
The teams will have one last opportunity to play a game against the teachers on Thursday, December 19th during periods seven and eight. Classes will be in attendance to cheer on the players (and maybe the teachers).
Our True Colours
In celebration of National Jersey Day students wore their team colours to school on December 2nd. It was great to see so many different jerseys. The school in the St. James- Assiniboia School Division that has the most jerseys worn will be awarded an autographed Winnipeg Jets jersey as a prize. Thanks to everyone that showed their true colours today!
